End the Embargo on Cuba

Letter to Obama

As a supporter of freedom, I favor the lifting of the embargo on Cuba as long as Cuba is not a military threat and as long as no tax payer money is used to support the welfare of Cuba.

The Cuban government holds its own citizens hostage while their relatives continually pay the ransom.  Just like paying ransom to common kidnappers encourages more kidnapping, money put into Cuba encourages more communism.  But free people should be free to use their own money however they please.  It is the right of free Americans to support the unfree in Cuba.   Just because I think they are wrong for sending their own money to Cuba, myself nor anyone else has the right to prevent them from doing so. 

Please lift the embargo, not to encourage people to send money out of pity, but on the principle of individual rights.  On the idea that  men are free to trade peacefully with anyone they choose.  We love freedom, speak to us.  Freedom is based on an individual’s right to pursue his own happiness.   Since we are a free people, speak to us in terms of freedom.
